FAO's collaboration with Chile focuses on supporting the Government in the inclusive and equitable development of the country, emphasizing the importance of family farming and highlighting the role of youth, women and indigenous peoples to strengthen agriculture and local markets. Similarly, this collaboration takes into account the Chilean experience in order to solve problems through South-South Cooperation.FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile have jointly established priority areas of cooperation: Policy and institutional framework for the development of effective, healthy and inclusive food systems; governance of natural resources, agriculture, forestry and fishery systems under climate change scenarios; and South-South cooperation.
