Cooperation between Cuba and FAO addresses four priority areas: sustainable production of food, seed and animal feed, by strengthening the production units of the agri-food sector, improving their skills and technical infrastructure; adaptation to climate change and sustainable management of natural resources; health, quality and food safety, supporting the implementation of the National Plan in line with international standards on food safety in all production chains and agribusinesses; South-South cooperation, promoting special arrangements for technicians and experts from developing countries to work directly with farmers in host countries. Cuba is one of the countries that have provided cooperation to countries in the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa.
