Key Expert I: Energy expert (Category II)

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent (minimum requirement).

General professional experience

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector (minimum requirement).

Specific professional experience

• At least 10 years of advisory or delivery experience in energy sector projects proven by a minimum of 5 projects (minimum requirement).
• At least 5-year experience with preparing clean energy projects in the areas of including, but not limited to:
  • Photovoltaic (PV) installations
  • Waste heat recovery systems
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)

proven by at least 3 projects in at least two of the specified areas mentioned above, including at least one project focused on waste heat recovery (minimum requirement).

• Proven experience (activity, role, timing) in energy saving/recovery/production projects/audits/activities linked with water and wastewater sector will be considered an asset.
• Proven knowledge and international experience in energy recovery and waste heat technologies will be considered an asset.
• Proven knowledge of EU energy and energy efficiency policies and legislation will be considered an asset.
• International experience in several EU countries will be considered an asset.

Language and other Skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English (CEFR C1) (minimum requirement).
• Fluency in written and spoken Estonian would be an asset.
• Computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams).
