Verband Deutsch-Syrischer Hilfsvereine e.V./Association for German Syrian Societies e.V.

We, the Association of German-Syrian Aid Associations e.V. (VDSH) are an umbrella organization of currently 23 member clubs of different sizes throughout Germany. On the one hand, our members are associations founded by German-Syrians, who live here for decades or were born here.

On the other hand, we count both clubs, our association, which were founded by newly arrived Syrians as well as Germans without a migration background, who are connected for professional, academic or personal reasons with Syria and the region.

The vision is a democratic Syria for all its citizens. The member clubs in the country and neighboring countries provide humanitarian and medical emergency aid, promote civil society structures and participate in the development of educational and training opportunities. In Germany, they are involved in refugee aid and the integration of Syrian refugees into German society.
