The institute for financial services e.V. (iff) is an independent, non-profit association based in Hamburg, which has been researching and advising interdisciplinary in the area of sustainable financial services since 1987. The iff works for national and European state institutions, consumer advice centers, debt advice centers, foundations and providers of financial services. It also produces calculations and reports for courts, small / medium-sized businesses and private individuals. Iff also regularly issues reports and opinions on financial services for federal ministries, the European Commission and the European Parliament. The iff offers numerous services to consumers, businesses, banks and courts. The offerings range from legal and economic appraisals to advising banks in the implementation of more transparency and customer-friendliness, to product developments and consultations on legislative initiatives at national and international level.
