U.P. Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (UP PLANADES)

Established in 1976, the U.P. Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (UP PLANADES) is a non-stock, non-profit foundation engaged in research, consultancy and extension services, academic development and training in environmental, urban and regional planning and related disciplines.

One of its major objectives is to provide technical assistance to both the public and private sectors on various aspects of urban and regional planning including project development and management, and feasibility studies.

Corporate Objectives

To initiate, sponsor, support, promote, assist or conduct basic and applied research and development programs and projects in the field of urban and regional planning;

To publish or disseminate information on research studies, training programs and other activities of both the Foundation and SURP

To sponsor workshops, seminars, educational campaigns, conferences, convocations, and symposia on various aspects of urban and regional planning, project development and management, and project feasibility studies;

To provide assistance, financial or otherwise, to faculty members, alumni and students of the School of Urban and Regional Planning, University of the Philippines who propose to undertake research activities in urban and regional planning;

To grant scholarships and professorial chairs in urban and regional planning to deserving individuals;
