About

The Croatian Employment Service is a public institution owned by the Republic of Croatia, constituted under Law on mediation in employment and entitlements during unemployment, aimed at resolving employment and unemployment related issues in their broadest sense.

The beginnings of the Croatian Employment Service can be traced back to the 8th Assembly Session of the free royal town of Zagreb, held on November 5th 1906, when the town council, Antun Seifert, suggested: “Let the town council adopt the statute suggesting the establishment of the Institution for mediation between the providers and the seekers of job and service.
