About

Ekata Foundation Nepal (EFN) is a non-profit organization based in the Surkhet district of Karnali Province, Nepal. Established in 2015 by a group of dedicated youth activists, EFN aims to support marginalized and unprivileged communities in their struggle for basic human rights, democracy, peace-building, child protection, and dignified living. The organization initially focused on Surkhet but has since expanded its efforts to include the Dailekh district, addressing critical issues such as livelihoods, disaster risk reduction (DRR) and emergency response, human rights, peace-building, and children and youth empowerment.

EFN places particular emphasis on the most vulnerable segments of society, including children, youth, women, and socially excluded communities such as indigenous peoples. Through various programs, EFN provides training, resources, and opportunities to improve economic conditions, prepare for and respond to natural disasters, advocate for human rights, and promote peaceful coexistence. EFN strives to create an equitable and independent society where people can realize their basic rights and live with dignity by targeting these key areas.

Vision: Establish an equitable and independent society where individuals realize their basic human rights, democracy, equity, and societal development through fostering solidarity among the people.
