Associação de Professores de História

APH – History Teachers Association is a scientific-pedagogical association of History teachers from all cycles and levels of education.
Established in 1981 (DR132, 3rd series, 6/9/81), APH is a non-profit Public Utility Association (DR 140, 2nd Series, 6/20/95).

APH’s objectives are:

Promote the continuous training of teachers in the scientific and pedagogical-didactic aspects;
Contribute to the opening of new fields of experience and innovation in History teaching;
Develop research/action projects within the scope of Historical Education;
Encourage Heritage Education;
Participate in an interventional way in the debate on Education, through the contribution of History;
Provide contacts and exchange of experiences between teachers and other agents linked to the teaching of History;
Establish a network of relationships with other national and foreign associations and entities linked to the teaching of History.
