Created in 1973, the high school for trades in the hotel, catering and tourism industry in Gascony is an emblematic establishment. What professional from the Region or more broadly from the national territory does not know this school? For nearly fifty years, it has been training valuable professionals in demanding professions.

Labeled high school of trades, it currently graduates 950 pupils and students through school and around 200 trainees through work-study programs. It also welcomes students from three professional licenses, for all or part of their training. The Gascogne high school is one of the leading high schools in Aquitaine for the volume of continuing education carried out on its premises. This result is a good indicator of the trust granted by companies and representatives of professional branches.

Pupils and students benefit from a pedagogy that aims to be benevolent and supportive without giving up on the basic requirements of discipline, work, respect and solidarity. The educational teams prepare their integration into working life, by enabling them to acquire the skills and know-how adapted to the jobs to be filled in the hotel, catering and tourism sectors, while making them able to think about their activity and evolve. Initiative, autonomy and commitment are also encouraged.

The image of the Lycée de Gascogne is also based on its many international partnerships. Agreements allow students to carry out secure internships in companies, abroad and thus experience an enriching and memorable personal adventure. Each year, around a hundred young people go to Canada, Mexico, Asia and various European countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Malta, etc.), to various places and supported by our partner schools.
