AFRY has been present in Indonesia for the past 25 years with a local AFRY company founded in 1996. In the past, the company operated in Indonesia under the brand names of “Electrowatt Engineering”, “Pöyry”, “Colenco” and “ÅF Consult”. Today, about 40 international and local experts work in our Indonesian unit, and we have close cooperation with the other AFRY offices and a total of 400 AFRY experts in the Southeast Asia region.

AFRY's office is located in the central business district of Jakarta and we are active in the following business sectors:

Energy: Thermal Power, Hydropower, Wind, Solar, Hybrid, Biomass, Waste-to-Energy, Geothermal, Transmission & Distribution and LNG Terminal projects.
Process Industry: Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Mining & Minerals.
Management Consulting: Forest Industry, Energy Markets.
AFRY is one of the leading power sector consulting engineering companies in the country, with more than 100 power sector assignments in Indonesia. We are currently involved in more than 10,000 MW of power projects under development or construction in Indonesia. In the Process Industry sector, we have been involved in most of the large pulp and paper mill developments in the country, and in Management Consulting we are active in Forest Industry sector as well as Energy sector market studies.
