About

The Foundation for International Development/Relief (FIDR) is a Japanese private organization established on 26th April 1990, following donation of the main basic fund by Mr. Tojuro Iijima (founder of Yamazaki Baking Co., Ltd.). The purpose of the Foundation is to carry out activities of assistance as to improve the living environment of inhabitants and to promote economic and social advancement in developing countries, and thereby to contribute to the autonomous development and promotion of welfare of those countries.
