Protestant Agency for Diakonia and Development (PADD), also known as Bread for the World (BftW), is a Berlin-based international development organization that is owned by the German Protestant Churches.

The German free churches, their diaconal charitable organizations, and the Protestant Agency for Diakonie and Development (Bread for the World) work together to support international development. The organization offers assistance for self-help for the endeavors of partner organizations.

Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe are all home to over 1300 initiatives that are sponsored overall.

The organization collaborates closely with other aid organizations and is a member of numerous national and international networks. Its major missions are to empower the underprivileged, promote peace, and protect the environment.
