About
The Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana was formed in 2005 and is a member based non-profit organisation that works on behalf of the poor, small scale rural farmers across Ghana. The organisation has more than 2000 small group farmers and Farmer Based Organisations who are member of PFAG. Through these organisations, PFAG reaches out to approx. 30.000 individuals in more than 50 districts covering all ten regions of Ghana.
PFAG is in the first place an organisation that organises and mobilises peasant farmers to advocate and lobby for pro-poor (inter)national agriculture and trade policies. Besides, PFAG also provides technical, business, entrepreneurial and – if the need exists - other services.
