Sinohydro Corporation Ltd (Kenya)

Sinohydro Corporation LTD of Kenya is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sinohydro Corporation, which is owned by the government of the People’s Republic of China. 

Based in Nairobi, the Sinohydro Corporation’s main work in Kenya is the development of infrastructure, primarily in the energy and transportation industries. Sinohydro Kenya has built a number of bridges and roadways in the country for the transportation industry, including the 29.5 km Kibwezi-Kitui Road and the 10 km Miritini-Mwache-Kwa Jomvu Road. Sinohydro also assisted in the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), a high-speed rail connection between Mombasa, the largest port in East Africa, and the capital Nairobi.

Sinohydro Kenya has been operating in the country since 2008 and has established a sizable footprint in the country's infrastructure.
