About
KCTI is Korea's only national research organization dedicated to culture, art and tourism, and plays the lead role in promoting "a happy life for all", "an elegant Korea" and the "culture, art and tourism industry" by carring out diverse survey and research activities.
The KCTI was converted into a corporation on May 29, 2016 as a result of the revision of the Framework Act on the Promotion of the Cultural Industries, thus recognizing the Institute's status as Korea's representative research institute of culture, art and tourism. In the contemporary world, such fields play an essential role in the quality of life and national competitiveness, so the roles and responsibilities of KCTI aree set to increase tremendously.
In this internal and external environment, the employees of the KCTI will devote all their creative ability and energy to promoting Korean culture, art and tourism in order to enhance the public's quality of life and transform Korea into one of the leading countries in the fields of culture and tourism.
