TUHH - Hamburg University of Technology / Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg

From the very beginning of its existence, the TUHH has had the ambition to be one of the most internationally connected universities in Germany. Today, it has achieved its goal with some 1300 students representing approximately 20% of its foreign student population. Annually, about 150 students take advantage of the opportunity to experience life in another culture by studying abroad. The TUHH’s extensive network of higher education partners make this and other schemes possible.

University was founded in 1978 and in 1982/83 lecturing followed. Around 100 senior lecturers/professors and 1,150 members of staff (450 scientists, including externally funded researchers) work at the TUHH. With an average of 5,000 students the TUHH offers a high ratio of staff to students.
