The Water Institute of the Horn of Africa was founded in June 2017, as an independent applied research and technical services institution with a mission to offer training, engineering, research, and consultancy services in the wider water sector for Horn of Africa Communities. We leverage knowledge and our convening power to strengthen water governance for a just, prosperous, and sustainable future.
HAWI consultancy services offering include; Hydro-geological Surveys, Water and Waste Analysis, Environmental Impact Assessments and Audits and Capacity Building, and short courses.
HAWI also operates the institute to provide a forum for effective collaboration between the public and private sectors and other interested parties for the development of the water and sanitation sectors.
The institute will continue to engage and work closely with all interested and like-minded institutions and organizations. In this regard, HAWI invites all to come and partner with us in our areas of mandate.
