 As Balai Wilayah Sungai Nusa Tenggara is a part of the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works of Indonesia, its missions are the following:

• Conserving Water Resources in a sustainable manner.
• Utilizing water resources fairly and, at the same time, meeting quality and quantity requirements for various community needs.
• Controling the destructive force of water.
• Empowering and increasing the role of the community and government in managing water resources.
• Increase of transparency and availability of data and information about the water resources management.
