Enas – Ente acque della Sardegna (Organisme pour la Gestion de l’Eau en Sardaigne)

The Ente waters of Sardinia, located in Cagliari, Via Mameli n. 88, it is the instrumental or local authority of the Region which manages water island multisectoral system. And 'it born with the Regional Law n. 19 of 2006 that transformed the Ente Autonomo del Flumendosa (established by Royal Legislative Decree no. 498 of 17 May 1946) integrating and strengthening it with important water projects and the contribution of experience and capacity of staff coming from the suppressed ESAF (Ente Sardo aqueducts and Sewers) and Land Reclamation Consortia.The Authority, in addition to the unified management of the regional multi-sectoral water system, among other things, deals with: the design, construction and operation of plants and water works, the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and enhancement of infrastructure, facilities and works; the design, implementation and management of hydro-electric power generation and, in general, of plants for energy production from renewable sources in order to reduce production costs and provision of water resources; the monitoring of water bodies managed to safeguard and improve the quality of water resources for different purposes; promoting development and participation in international cooperation programs in the field of object-specific activities of their respective mandates.
