About

The Leibniz Institute for Atmospheric Physics at the University of Rostock eV (IAP) is a research institute of the Leibniz Association , whose research focus is on the middle atmosphere (details in the scientific framework program ). The IAP is connected to the University of Rostock through close cooperation in teaching and research. The scientists of the three departmentsare involved in a variety of national and international research activities. Broad scientific and technical expertise as well as a very good infrastructure and modern equipment offer the best research conditions. The IAP is financed in equal parts by the federal government and the federal states, its annual budget is around 7 million euros and it has 138 employees (as of mid-2019), including 18 doctoral students. It operates an equality and family-oriented personnel policy and is certified by the "berufundfamilie " audit .
