Amnesty International is a worldwide movement that unites more than 9 million people who consider the fight against injustice to be their personal cause. They fight for a world in which human rights are available to all without exception.

Amnesty International is supported and funded by people just like you. They do not depend on political ideologies, economic interests or religions. They are not controlled by any government.

When they first started, few would have thought that torture would be considered an unacceptable crime at the international level. That most countries will abolish the death penalty. That seemingly invincible dictators will be held accountable for their crimes. No situation is hopeless for Amnesty International.
