The Federation of Thai industries(F.T.I) was established on 13 November, 1967,having been formerly known as The Association of Thai Industries(A.T.I).It was founded by 27 founding industrialists who elected Mr.Thawee Bunyaket as the first President. The logo of the A.T.I. was conceived for the first time for the registration of its by-laws with the Department of Commercial Registration, Ministry of Commerce under the Trade Association Act. It was a design made up of three moving cogwheels embracing the initials A-T-I which stands for the Association of Thai Industries.(Pronounced in Thai as Sor-Or.Thor. Its first office was located on Silom Road,Bangrak,Bangkok followed by several relocations afterwards.
