The Institute of Legal and Political Sciences (ICJP) is a private association of university professors from the Legal and Political Sciences Group of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, to which other exponent of the Public Law universe has been added. , in 2012, as a private institution of public utility.

The ICJP aims to research, teach and disseminate legal and political sciences, as well as other related sciences, developing various scientific, academic and university activities, including postgraduate courses in innovative areas of law Public bodies, tailor-made courses for the various public and private entities that request them, a very significant number of conferences on current topics of Public Law, various publications and editions of works and legal articles, many available free of charge on its website, including a e-Public: Electronic Journal of Public Law, being, in fact, the first electronic legal magazine of the country with peer-review. In addition to these activities, the ICJP carries out applied scientific research studies for public and private entities in several areas related to Public Law.
