Our Infrastructure Group specializes in development of Transportation Infrastructure and Energy Infrastructure including; Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS), Transportation Planning, Transit Planning, Program Management and Project Management for Transportation Infrastructure, Project Management for Energy Infrastructure including, EPC for Power Generation, Power Transmission and Distribution projects. The OJI Land Development group specializes in the development of land into Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional real estate. We specialize in the development of planned communities and housing estates.  We also provide consulting services in urban planning, urban design and redevelopment services to other developers 

The company is a consortium of two US-based infrastructure development companies: OJI International Consultants and Califco Utilities Corporation. OJI International Consultants, Inc. was founded in 1987 and incorporated as a California Corporation in 2002. With over 27 years of experience, OJI has provided professional services to both public and private sector development clients in the United States and Africa. Califco Utilities Corporation was founded in 2005 to provide water and power infrastructure development services for public and private sector clients in the US and Africa. Califco has the capacity to Plan, Design, Engineer, Procure, Construct and Commission (EPCC) power system ranging from 50 KVA to 300 MW power systems using natural gas, LNG, CNG, Diesel, HFO, HPFO, or any Feedstock ascertained by the industry.  

OJI Califco Consortium, Inc. employs the services of highly experienced experts in the industry. Principals of the consortium have served as Permanent Secretaries of Cabinet Ministries, Boards of Directors of public and private agencies in the United States and Africa. OJI Califco Consortium engineers, planners and scientists have over 250 man-years of combined experience and expertise with the development of transportation, water and electric utility infrastructure systems.  Thus, the principals of OJI bring over 250 man-years of combined professional engineering and project management experience to bear on each of the projects we undertake. To service the Sub-sahran Africa region, the consortium has established Nigerian and Sierra Leonian subsidiaries with track records of infrastructure development in Nigeria and other African countries. We operate in Nigeria as OJI Califco Consortium, Limited with specialized companies  including; Califco Power Nigeria Limited and OJI Global Infrastructure (Nig.) Limited with offices in Lagos, Owerri and Abakaliki in Nigeria. Both companies are incorporated in Nigeria under Corporate Affairs Commission Act.  Califco Power Nigeria Limited specializes in power generation, power distribution and power equipment supply. OJI Global Infrastructure (Nig.) Limited provides general physical infrastructure development services. In Sierra Leone, we operate as OJI International, Sierra Leone Limited and Califco Sierra Leone Limited.

In specifics, OJI/Califco Consortium offers comprehensive power infrastructure development services for power generation plants, from feasibility studies, site improvement, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and commissioning for diesel powered generators, gas powered generators, diesel powered turbines, gas powered turbines to dual fuel (Diesel/Gas) powered turbines which could be installed to operate on open or closed cycle.

For most of our projects in Africa, we augment our in-house resources with those of United States based technical partners, including generation set and gas turbine manufacturers and procurement specialist companies with patented specialty gas turbines that we believe will facilitate our specifications, schedule and budgetary constraints while facilitating project delivery.
