About
Community Health Partners (CHP) is a local non-profit organisation registered in 2011. CHP was started by the Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF), which has worked in Kenya since 1980 creating 11 ambulatory care clinics in the Narok South Subcounty. CMF is the largest health service provider alongside the Kenyan Ministry of Health.
It's mandate is to:
To promote Education by constructing more schools, improving existing ones, giving support to vulnerable children, perform community advocacy on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Giving School Health Talks and assist in improving the pre – unit section of primary Education.
To promote Health by assisting in the development of health facilities, improvement of the existing health facilities, Providing Medical Care and undertake to promote Immunization / Vaccination for the young children from the pastoral community.
To help in the promotion of hygiene and sanitation through construction of boreholes to the needy community, training communities on the importance of having toilets or pit latrines to eradicate water borne diseases brought by open defecation.
To provide Emergency Medical Service, provide information to the Community on Disaster Mitigation and to Provide Emergency Relief.
To take such steps by personal or written appeals, private meetings, public meetings or representations to Parliament, government entities and other bodies as may be deemed expedient to promote any of the objects of the Organization.
To raise, secure and utilise funds for the attainment of any or all objects of the Organization, and to do such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of these objects.
To discharge its mandate and contribute to the overall country and county development agenda, the organization has aligned its, goals and the strategic objectives for the period 2018-2022 to SDGS goal number 1 on eradicating poverty in all forms, goal 3 on ensuring health and promoting wellbeing for all at all ages, Goal 4 addressing inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting life-long learning opportunities for all, goal 5 addressing Achievement of gender equality and empower all women and girls, goal 6 addressing availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all and goal 10 addressing reduction of inequality within and among countries
In developing systems of attracting, motivating and retaining employees, the organization will seek to partner with key institutions in continuous skill development for its workers and provision of staff emoluments that will cater for the staff needs.
