The Latin America Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) is an international organization constituted by 18 Member States that currently develops academic activities in 15 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and even in Spain.
FLACSO was created in 1957. Since then, it has been consolidated as an international Latin American and Caribbean organization, academic, autonomous, dedicated to promotion, teaching, research and cooperation in the field of Social Sciences. FLACSO was originally developed only in Chile (1957-1974). As of 1974, its geographical expansion began, which is currently expressed in the seven Academic Headquarters, five Programs and one Project.
