Title: YTOD Surge Tank and Other Remedial Works

Description: The works will consist of the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and testing of a surge tank and other remedial works in Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. The project has an installed capacity of 18.0MW with a design discharge of 48.8m3/s with two vertical shaft Francis turbines.
The major work will consist of:
• Construction of the steel surge tank and the associated works
• Design and modifications of the generator cooling systems
• Replacement of one damaged butterfly valve, and
• Replacement / enforcement of 62 meters of damaged penstock to generate at its full rated capacity of 18.0 megawatts.
