The fourth edition of the European Humanitarian Forum will take place amidst escalating humanitarian needs, shifting geopolitics, and growing multidimensional crises.
With over 305 million people requiring urgent aid due to conflict, climate emergencies, food insecurity, and economic instability, the EU and its Member States are addressing these challenges in a Team Europe spirit, fostering an integrated approach to fragility and enhancing humanitarian diplomacy efforts.
The programme will feature panel discussions, workshops, and Humanitarian Talks, providing participants with a dynamic platform to engage on thematic and geographic priorities.
Themes:
- Integrated approach to fragility. Bridging immediate relief and long-term solutions by enhancing collaboration between humanitarian, development, and peace actors.
- Humanitarian diplomacy. Promoting respect for International Humanitarian Law, protecting humanitarian space, ensuring access to aid, and safeguarding humanitarian workers.
Objectives:
- Reaffirm the EU’s role as a leading principled humanitarian donor, actor, and policymaker.
- Promote coordinated and sustainable approaches in fragile contexts.
- Provide a platform for dialogue on pressing humanitarian challenges and foster collaborative solutions among humanitarian actors.
