Description

The Transatlantic Rising Stars Project (TRSP) is an EU-funded initiative designed to enhance mutual understanding and appreciation of EU values and priorities in the U.S. cultural sector. The project supports EU creative actors through strategic people-to-people programs, including art residencies, a music program, and a film program.

Location: Washington, D.C., USA (with potential travel across the U.S. and EU) Contract Type: Part-time Duration: 240 working days (over the 36-month period)

Qualifications and skills
• University level degree or equivalent in the liberal arts, arts management, arts education, visual art, museum administration, communication, or business management; OR has been honored nationally or internationally for their work in the field of the arts;
• Minimum five years of working with the U.S. cultural industries, with a preference for artist-in- residence programs;
• Participation in at least one project involving international artist exchanges, training or education;
• At least two years of experience of partnership building and negotiation in the field of artist residencies or exchanges;
• At least two years of experience in audience engagement and communication strategies;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (another EU language would be an asset).

General professional experience
• Minimum seven years of professional experience in any of the following areas: international relations (preferably including the EU), cultural industries, educational or professional international exchanges, networking activities;
• Minimum two years of professional experience in the management of cultural industries professionals.
