GGGI in Peru collaborates closely with multilateral institutions, government agencies, and the private sector, focusing on Green Finance, Sustainable Forests, Climate-Resilient Agriculture, Biodiversity Management, and Adaptation, while also supporting the implementation of Peru's National Green Finance Roadmap.      

POSITION SUMMARY
The Communication and Knowledge Sharing (COMKS) Assistant will work with the Andean Representative, the COMKS Associate and team members in supporting the implementation of creative communication initiatives to enhance the visibility of GGGI's program in Peru. This includes designing materials for events, publications, social media, and websites to effectively showcase GGGI's results, impacts, and contributions to green growth in the region.

The role involves supporting producing high-quality, innovative communication outputs such as graphics, infographics, presentations, social media content, videos, and event coverage. These efforts will strengthen the recognition of GGGI and projects while ensuring alignment with GGGI's branding, communication guidelines, and organizational standards.

This position focuses on amplifying GGGI's message and impact in the country by conveying program objectives creatively and effectively while providing solutions that reflect GGGI's COMKS policies and guidelines.

PURPOSE
Under the guidance of the Andean Representative and the COMKS Associate, the COMKS Assistant will support the implementation of GGGI’s Peru COMKS plan by designing graphic communication products and creating engaging content. These efforts will align with the operational requirements of the Andean Country Programs (Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru) while fully adhering to GGGI policies, standards, donor requirements, and other operational and office functions.

The COMKS Assistant will ensure the delivery of high-quality communication outputs that effectively support the strategic plan, addressing challenges as needed to ensure smooth execution. S/he will implement GGGI’s rules, guidelines, and entitlements, providing solutions to communication-related issues while promoting a relationship-focused approach aligned with GGGI's rules and regulations.

ENGAGEMENT
Collaborate closely with the Andean Representative, the COMKS team, the Peru team, and relevant HQ and regional office units to support the program’s communications and knowledge sharing needs.
Engage with internal teams in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region and Head Quarters (HQ) COMKS units to align initiatives and share best practices.

DELIVERY
Support the implementation of GGGI’s COMKS Plan for Peru.
Assist in creating and designing innovative COMKS materials for internal and external audiences, including infographics, videos, banners, brochures, newsletters, and presentations.
Contribute to high-quality publications such as videos, capsules, and printed materials.
Support planning, scheduling, and posting social media campaigns and content, adhering to the social media calendar.
Monitor and analyze social media activity and performance (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, GGGI’s website), providing insights and updates on trends and publications.
Publish and update blog entries, event updates, and other content on the GGGI website.
Support live and online event coverage, including photography, video recording, interviews, real-time updates, and the preparation of event materials (e.g., invitations, banners, and speaker bios).
Collaborate with the COMKS team and counterparts to plan events and ensure effective media coverage.
Update and maintain the media outlet directory.
Support internal communication and knowledge management through SharePoint file maintenance (including photos, videos, blog posts, designs).
Support and design and delivery of knowledge production and sharing activities, including the undertaking of surveys, evaluations and other data collection, and development knowledge products.
Ensure alignment with organizational branding guidelines and messaging standards.
Support the analysis, measure, and report on communication efforts and their impacts and provide advice if strategies and interventions need to be adjusted.
Support and help drive the consistent incorporation of gender and social inclusion in all COMKS interventions. 

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
(Mandatory) This is a national position open only to Peruvian nationals or foreigners based in Lima, Perú with permission to work and live in the country.
(Mandatory) Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
(Mandatory) At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in communications roles aligned with GGGI’s mission and objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and active usage of various social media platforms.
(Mandatory) Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro) and strong skills in graphic design, photography, and video production, demonstrating creativity and the ability to design high-quality posts, infographics, videos, and other communication materials.
Proficient communication, event management, media engagement, and diplomatic skills.
Knowledge or experience in green growth, sustainable development, or regional issues is an asset.
Exceptional attention to detail, especially in producing communication materials and adhering to rules and guidelines.
Fluency in Spanish with good English writing and speaking skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The COMKS Assistant is an X4 grade level in GGGI's Perú Salary Scale. The salary range for the position starts from USD 22,483. Determination of base salary is subject to candidate's experience, academic background and internal equity.

GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision.
