Caritas Congo is a non-profit organization, created in 1960 and restructured in 1993. It enjoys a civil personality conferred by the Ordinance n ° 108 of December 04th, 1964. It represents an instrument of the social pastoral in the service of the Episcopate of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Its main role is to enforce and monitor the orientations of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO) in all actions that contribute to the promotion and integral development of man, that is to say, emergency relief, medical works and community development projects.
