UNDP is the UN's leading development organization. We work closely with governments and other national partners to eradicate poverty and to achieve the 17 World Sustainable Development Goals. We work interdisciplinarily with poverty reduction, responsible governance, crisis prevention and reconstruction, as well as the environment, climate and access to sustainable energy. Human rights and equality are central themes in all our work. As chair of the UN Development Group, the UNDP plays a leading role in the cooperation between the UN's 32 development organizations and contributes to ensuring an effective and coordinated UN effort.
