The Agency Fund

The Agency Fund makes different types of philanthropic investments:

Research & innovation investments fund the design, randomized evaluation, and iterative improvement of specific tools that expand people's capacity to navigate difficult lives. Funding is phased by round:

• Pilot rounds fund proofs-of-concept; our maximum contribution is $200k.
• Advanced rounds are suitable for ideas that have an existing degree of evidence or scale; the funding is intended to advance both learning and scaling. No defined limits on our contribution.

Field investments work toward a vibrant ecosystem of players who are aligned with the Agency Fund's vision.

• Fellowships support innovators who want to explore new problem spaces and prototype new solutions. Calls are issued periodically. Fixed contribution of $65k.
• Organizational support strengthens the backbone of strategically aligned organizations that are exploring sustainable ways of resourcing their work at growing scale. By invitation only. No defined contribution limits.
• Shared initiatives help spread ideas, data, research, technology, and other intangibles across organizations, and invest in field-wide infrastructure where needed. By invitation only. No defined contribution limits.
