The Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) was created in 1991 as a self-governing body under the "Nepal Agricultural Research Council Act - 1991" to perform research on agriculture in Nepal to improve people's economic status.
The Council's objectives involve conducting qualitative surveys and research on various elements of agriculture, identifying existing agricultural problems and finding solutions, and supporting the government in the development of agriculture policies and initiatives.
The Council emphasizes studies and research that will be undertaken, offering clients research and consulting services, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating agricultural research operations in Nepal, as well as documenting research activities.
