The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport is responsible for public engineering and architectural activities entrusted to his services or to external service providers.

The mission of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport is to provide the country with a comprehensive, economic and safe transport system, and to make it an essential factor of economic and social development. He is also responsible in particular for:

develop and monitor transport policies and strategies;
ensure and facilitate the mobility of goods and people;
monitor policies relating to land, sea, air and meteorological transport;
ensure the implementation of transport infrastructure protection and security policies.
