The Directorate General of Taxes is responsible :
to develop, apply tax and parafiscal laws and regulations;
prepare, negotiate and apply international tax treaties;
to carry out tax assessment, liquidation and control operations on behalf of the State and local authorities;
collect tax and parafiscal revenue other than from the door;
manage tax litigation;
ensure the design, creation and management of the cadastre in urban and rural areas;
ensuring the conservation of land ownership and mortgages;
ensure the financial management of the domain of the State and of unclaimed property;
to carry out the recording and stamping operations;
to promote fiscal citizenship
