Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy (Albania)

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy coordinates the work of all branches of the Energy, for areas focusing on key elements acquis communautaria, aid state, industrial property rights, free trade agreement, consumer protection and market surveillance legislation trade associations, regional development, energy, industrial policy, (SME) etc, the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement.
Ministry play a coordinating role of IPA projects, which has a duty of the structure of SPO (Senior Office Structure Programming) with responsibilities that SPO office , in accordance with article nr.75 rule of IPA Implementing, where SPO sector is responsible for the technical aspects of the activities within the Ministries.
Mission of the Ministry is the promotion of the safe, environmentally responsible and efficient supply and use of energy in all its forms and applications, for the best benefit of the Albanian society as a whole.
This vision will increasingly need to integrate, the convergence and complementarities of multiple energy sources, the development of integrated multinational energy markets, which will constrain Ministry in adopting a global perspective of energy related issues from a national and broader regional perspective.
