The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Afghanistan is a UN organization that assists the Afghan government and affiliated parties in carrying out and overseeing the development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding initiatives. Since 1995, UNOPS has worked in Afghanistan, implementing a broad spectrum of projects throughout the nation with an emphasis on supporting sustainable development, reinforcing governance and the rule of law, and enhancing access to critical services.
UNOPS enhances Afghan organizations while supporting partner projects and assists multi-country programs involving activities in Afghanistan, such as Small Grants and Peace and Security.
