Solange Rising Star

Solange Rising Star (SRS) is a survivor-led organization founded by Solange Ndip, who, as a survivor herself, boldly uses her name to call other survivors to join her without shame. The organization embodies resilience, unity, and justice, filling gaps left by other NGOs and government initiatives. SRS’s flagship project, Kacherkatan, symbolizes the transformation of a butterfly’s life cycle, representing the journey from victim to survivor to empowered advocate. With a focus on rural and war-affected regions of Cameroon, SRS is dedicated to empowering survivors through education, rehabilitation, advocacy, and economic initiatives. The organization also aims to build a global network of survivors who collectively say, "Enough!" to sexual violence.

Through initiatives such as the Kacherkatan mentorship project, the ECHO Prison Rehabilitation Program, the R.I.S.E. School Club Project, and talent-based advocacy campaigns, SRS creates a sustainable impact. The organization integrates environmental protection into its programs and fosters engagement through sports, arts, and community-driven solutions. By collaborating with schools, community leaders, and legal experts, SRS ensures survivors are not only supported but also equipped to lead change. With the tagline Unifying Voices, Ending Sexual Violence, SRS stands as light and transformation, committed to breaking cycles of abuse and empowering survivors worldwide to lead change in their local communities.
