About
Arup SIGMA (formerly SIGMA Consulting Engineers and SIGMA Ove Arup and Partners Ltd) has been established in Mauritius since 1975.
Arup's work in Mauritius includes landmark projects such as the Caudan Waterfront Development in Port Louis and the new MCB Building at Ebene. Arup has been integral to the development of the island's infrastructure from water supply and irrigation schemes, through to major highway projects such as the Grewals Junction at Pailles. The Anahita World Class Sanctuary, which included major coastal engineering works, showcases a significant portfolio of projects in the hotel and resort sector both in Mauritius and the Seychelles.
Arup is shaping the future of sustainable development in Mauritius through:
- Providing the highest level of local technical expertise and competency, complimented where appropriate with specialist input from international Arup Group offices.
- Understanding 'island-wide' concerns facing engergy supply, water supply, transportation, waste, urbanisation and the environment.
- Engaging with clients and project stakeholders at the earliest possible stage to identify choices and maximise opportunites.
