Its activities include hosting events and speakers; hosting in-house fellows who conduct research, write, and speak on important transatlantic issues; convening conferences and seminars; and coordinating signature GMF programs like the Marshall Memorial Fellowship, the Congress-Bundestag Forum, and Transatlantic Talks GMF Berlin also serves as the base for GMF’s Europe Program. The issues it works on include EU integration and enlargement, economic policy, immigration and integration, homeland security, foreign and security policy, energy security, the Balkans, the Black Sea region, and Russia. Since its inception, GMF has given individual travel and research grants to more than 2,000 Germans.
