The Organization for the Development of the Gambia River (OMVG) is a sub-regional institution which brings together four member countries, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Senegal. The OMVG High Commission is the executing agency for integrated development projects and programs implemented by the four member countries for a rational and harmonious exploitation of the common hydroelectric resources of the Gambia, Kayanga Géba and Koliba river basins. -Corubal. On February 4, 2017, in Kaléta, Guinea, the OMVG launched its ambitious Energy Project. This project provides for the construction of an interconnection line connecting the electricity grids of the four member countries and a hydroelectric development in sambangalou in Senegal.
