Milieu Ltd is a consultancy founded in 1994 to provide high quality consultancy services in EU and international environmental law and policy.

Our EU-based experience ranges from legal and policy studies covering the 15 Member States as well as the 12 new Member States and the EFTA countries, to drafting of EU environmental legislation. A particular area of expertise is the assessment of compliance of national transposing legislation with the EU requirements. We have developed extensive methodological tools for carrying out such assessments, and we take pride in having had our services in this area engaged repeatedly by satisfied clients.

Sectors of environmental law in which we have developed particular expertise include waste management, chemicals control including pesticides regulation, water quality, air quality, industrial pollution control, and the horizontal requirements (EIA, access to information, access to justice).
